BBR 1/20th Scale Resin Kit
Another one? You bet. This is a slightly different kit than the Tamiya's F1 2000. This kit is made by a company called BBR in Italy which produces one
of the finest 1/43rd scale kits. Although this is not a 1/43rd kit, it is a nicely sized 1/20th scale resin kit by BBR.
The body is made out of a soft resin, it is very friendly to handle and build with, unlike the resin parts from Studio 27 kits. By looking at the kit,
I knew it is going to be a fun project. Lots of resin parts, white metal parts, and many photo-etched components. Ah, multi-media kit!

The Front Wing Mount
The picture shows that the front wing support mount is attached to the resin body. I used CA glue to do this. Then I checked for the correctness
of the angle. After checking the angle, I performed some putty work to hide any joint gaps.

Cleaning Up the Front Wing Parts
I tested the fit of the parts and I liked what I see. No adjustment was necessary. ^_^

Cut and Sand
Cleaning these resin and white metal parts ensure a good gluing. I lightly sanded the surface of the white metal parts as well.

Front Suspension
The funny thing about these multi-media kits is that parts are not necessarily made to fit. Unlike precision-made plastic kits, the resin
and the white metal parts will require trimming and cutting to fit correctly.
To minimize any unexpected surprise, it is always a good
idea to test-fit the parts prior to the painting. It would be very unfortunate to sand and trim out parts after painting a perfect
finish to them.
After bit of tweaking, the front suspension arms are in the correct place. The body is now ready for primer.

Photo-etching Parts!
The photo-etched parts can enhance the level of detailing. The aerodynamic wind trap was made out of photo-etched part and as well as the face of the
BBS wheel. The spokes of BSS wheel are very thin compared to similar the wheel made out of plastic.

Tire Preparation
These BBR tires have very "rough" surfaces. Instead of sanding them out, I just applied multiple clear coats.

It's Prime Time
I primed the surface along with other cars that I am building. The there goes the Ferrari Red!
